Improved Tools for a Better Experience

Letter from the President & CEO

Dear Valued Member,

As part of planned improvements to our digital banking services, Cherokee Strip Credit Union will be completing a system upgrade that will temporarily impact branch access and electronic services.

To support this transition, all three Cherokee Strip Credit Union branch locations will be closed on Saturday, February 28, and Monday, March 2.

In the following pages, you will find important information about changes to digital banking access, mobile banking, bill payment services, transfers, and other tools you may use regularly.

While most services will be temporarily unavailable during the transition, debit cards will continue to work without interruption for purchases and ATM transactions throughout the weekend. Members planning significant purchases or expecting higher cash needs during the transition are encouraged to make arrangements in advance to support a smooth banking experience.

We understand that updates like these require planning, and our goal is to provide clear, straightforward guidance so you can prepare with confidence. Please review the information in this booklet carefully and reach out if you have questions or need assistance.

Thank you for your patience and for trusting Cherokee Strip Credit Union to serve your financial needs.

Sincerely,
Spike Henderson, President & CEO
Cherokee Strip Credit Union

  • Members may begin re-enrollment for online, mobile, and audio banking.

Additional service-specific details are provided on the following pages for members impacted by these changes.

Online & Mobile Banking

Online and mobile banking access will be updated as part of this upgrade, and re-enrollment will be required.

  • Access to online and mobile banking will end at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026.
  • New online and mobile banking services will be available on Monday, March 2, 2026 (time to be determined).
  • Members will need to re-enroll through online banking or the mobile app to access the updated system.
  • A new mobile banking app will need to be downloaded, as the current app will no longer function after the upgrade.
  • Complete enrollment once through either online or mobile banking to enjoy access to both services.

How to Enroll in Online Banking

  1. Enrollment is quick and easy. Simply self-enroll in online or mobile banking and create your login credentials to access your accounts.
  2. Visit cherokeestrip.com/improved-tools-for-a-better-experience to download the mobile app or access online banking; then click “New User” to get started.
  3. Enter the required information to verify your identity, including your account number, Social Security number or tax ID, email address, and phone number.
  4. Confirm your email address by entering the one-time verification code sent to you.
  5. Set up two-factor authentication (2FA) by choosing how you would like to receive security codes, such as by text message or phone call, and verifying your selection.
  6. Review and accept the online banking terms and conditions.
  7. Create your username and password to complete enrollment.

Bill Payment

Bill payment access will be deactivated at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026.

  • Payments scheduled through February 27, 2026 will be processed as normal.
  • Payments scheduled after February 27, 2026 will be processed by the new vendor as scheduled beginning Monday, March 2, 2026. Payments will not be processed on weekends or federal holidays.

Bill payment services are transitioning to a new provider. Members currently enrolled in Bill Pay will automatically be enrolled with the new vendor. A Bill Pay link will be available in online and mobile banking. Members wishing to enroll after the system upgrade may do so beginning Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

Once logged in, members will be able to access their existing Bill Pay information, including billers established on or before 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026.

After accessing Bill Pay in the new system, some members may notice that certain billers are marked “On Hold” or “Unverified.” This simply means additional information is required before payments can resume.

  • Some billers will require additional verification and/or validation after the transition. Members can complete this beginning Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
  • Payments to these billers will not be issued until the missing information is updated.
  • In most cases, this involves adding or confirming the biller’s mailing address, particularly when payments are sent by check rather than electronically.

Once the required information is entered and saved, the biller will become active, and future payments will process as normal.

Transfers

Existing transfers will transition to the new online and mobile banking system. Once services are restored and you have re-enrolled in digital banking, members can conveniently view, manage, and maintain both existing and new transfers within the updated platform.

External Transfers

External transfers are ACH transactions between your Cherokee Strip Credit Union account and an account you hold at another financial institution.

  • One-time external ACH transfers will be unavailable from February 26 through March 2. The final day to schedule a one-time transfer is February 25.
  • We recommend scheduling time-sensitive transfers in advance.
  • Recurring external ACH transfers scheduled between February 28 and March 2 will be temporarily disrupted. Affected members will be contacted directly.
  • If you are not contacted, your scheduled transfer will process as expected.
  • Re-enrollment is not required to continue using external transfer services following the upgrade.
  • External ACH transfer capabilities will resume once services are restored.

Internal Transfers

Internal transfers are transactions between your Cherokee Strip Credit Union deposit account and another Cherokee Strip Credit Union deposit or loan account.

  • Deposit-to-deposit transfers will transition without interruption.
  • Deposit-to-loan transfers will transition as outlined on the next page.
    • If your existing transfer amount and date match your loan payment amount and due date, the transfer will be established as an automatic payment. Funds will transfer only if the loan payment has not already been made through another method.
    • If your existing transfer amount and date do not match your loan payment amount or due date, the transfer will continue to process as scheduled, even if a payment is made through another channel.
    • We recommend reviewing your transfer details prior to the upgrade to ensure they are set up according to your preferences. No action is required unless you wish to make changes.
    • Members with loan payments scheduled during the transition are encouraged to confirm their payment status once services are restored.

Audio Banking

  • Audio banking access will end at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026.
  • New audio banking services will be available on Monday, March 2, 2026, and will require re-enrollment.
  • To re-enroll, dial 855-462-3098 and follow the prompts. You must call from a phone number on file with the Credit Union, and you will need your account number and Social Security number. You will create a new PIN before continuing.
